about

Folks,

Here at The Grammar Club, we're simple people. We believe in things you can touch and smell, taste and see. Moreover, we believe in things you can feel. You can feel the build quality of a titanium-grade steel chasis, as you foist your boot up on that bad boy's lip and hoist yourself inside. You can smell the honest-to-goodness biological smells of an all-leatherette interior, left baking in the sun, all afternoon. You can see the road stretched out endlessly before you, and, though it's from a perspective that is new, it somehow feels like the one you always should have had.

Hi, I'm Floyd Anyweather, Senior Sales Associate here at Jooter Stevenson's Stank Town. And I want to tell you and your family that November is Truck Month, at the aformentioned! We got hot dogs, not dogs (AKA "cats"), baseballs, gray skulls, grace falls, and maybe hot air balloons!

N'aw, I'm just kidding. WE GOT TRUCKS! Here at Jooter Stevenson's Stank Town, we have P-minus 15,000 trucks, wherein "P" represents the number of trucks we've sold between right now and the time when you view this advert! Because, here at Jooter Stevenson's Stank Town, we respect temporal disjunction.

N'aw, I'm just kidding again. Trucks are bigger than space and time. Buy a truck today; receive it six years ago. I am not kidding. Test me and find out.
N'aw, I'm just kidding. Trucks can't travel through time, but they're good at traveling through space, and they're large. That's right! They're large, and they're heavy in weight. Here, at Jooter Stevenson's Stank Town, we are bound only by the laws of physics, and all state, federal, and local regional regulations. Full compliance since 1999.

We'll be waitin' for ya.

And now, a note from Sean Stone:

A LESSON IN FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS

Sometimes when musicians are hanging out together, they'll come up with a dumb idea that everyone thinks is funny and amazing. Like writing a rock opera based on the first three Castlevania games. Or making an arrangement of the Onett music from Earthbound, but with lyrics about how Earthbound is only kind of OK, all things considered. The bits and gags flow like the wine. Hilarity ensues. But ultimately, they all realize that once they sober up, the idea will never come to fruition. Except when it does.

That's what happened here. I (OH HAI THIS IS SEAN) wrote this country groove with a catchy chorus chord progression and bridge, ostensibly to be sold for background music to... Look, I don't even know what I thought I was going to do with this thing. But it needed to come out of me, so I recorded it, called it "Buy This Truck," and didn't think about it again for a couple years until we were joking around in our Discord channel about what would be fun music to make. It struck me like lightning. Beefy needed to rap on this. Shael needed to sing way too high harmonies on it. It was destined to be run through The Grammar Club machine, to be cut up, refined, and polished until EVERYONE wanted to buy a truck. I wrote the music, then Beefy wrote the words. You want a truck. Then Tanner added a voice over in character as Jooter Stevens, Truck King of Stanktown, and Ty added hot leads. You need a truck. But you could still back out. So Shael added high vocals. Your soul is craving a truck. Glenn added even MORE hot leads and vocals. How do you not have a truck yet? Tanner is Jooter Stevens in Stanktown HOLY CATS, Y'ALL IT'S TRUCK MONTH BUY A TRUUUUUCK!!!

lyrics

Yeah you know I live that sweet life, country in the west side
Main eventing and you're sitting ringside
Sand duning and we're tearing it
Finished leveling up. I got this big ass truck, yeah
It's a staple here around my community
Riding high at each and every truck opportunity
All the bells and all the whistles yeah I got that
If you gotta problem needs a truck we can solve that, all that
It's got a ton of torque and spin
It's got a lot of.. Good truck stuff, I'm sure of it
Ready for all weather, the seats have fake leather
And the dealer told me that I couldn't get much better, naw

The wheels go all the way around
And that’s all I need to get by
I may not know much but I know
That when I showing up I'm showing up
I’m showing up
Impressing everyone with my truck

Yeah it's been known to cause amazement
Got a spare tire, 5 liter displacement
All that horsepower and direct inject
Thrilled I got a model that still rocks a tape deck
Big back seat for the kids, I keep it tight
Got a max payload aaaand it's totally white
Probably haul a million pounds cause it's basically a semi
May not have specifics but I know it's got a Hemi, baby
