lyrics

There's a story that I wanna get ahead of

Long ago, when the world it wasn't messed up

I posted things that at the time we're just a laugh

And probably made a couple references to grass

And I think a close up picture of my ass

And some doodles from my notebook while in class

I said some talented people weren't good singers

As well as a picture Frontalot drew of my weiner

Let me say that it was a mistake

If I could do it all again it's one I wouldn't make

I'm a different person from the one who said those things

And we shouldn't judge a person by the things they say and tweet

Unless you think we should?

Thinking that the people printing paychecks probably would

Blame it on the timing or the ones they sent to dig

But this happens cause you type it with your fingers and hit send

Now I'm sorry on the internet

I'm straining to convey regret

I'm dealing with this loneliness

I'm hoping that they all forget

The internet is written with a pen

Try to take it down and they'll just put it up again

Engraved it into marble know it isn't leaving soon

Take your words and get their chizels, freakin carve it on the moon

Said that it was a mistake

But you made a mess for a passion for hot takes

It doesn't count if it happened long ago

Have you never had a changing of your soul?

Y2K it was okay to be a troll

These have ramifications? I didn't know

Now they messing with your money and it's messed up

Russian hackers got my phone man it's a set up

We all love making excuses

Fixing it like talking to void because it's useless

It's alluring but it isn't playing tricks

When I was young told a bunch of kids to eat a bag of dicks

Then we put it in a documentary

2018 and now I'd be the enemy

Times change and you've gotta adapt

Not enough to say that you're no longer feeling like that

But you wanted that reaction

Well ya got it while you're sitting dumbfounded like what happened?

I guess that leaders aren't just sitting on the fence

so, At least you gave everybody your two cents?

Now I'm sorry on the internet

I'm straining to convey regret

I'm dealing with this loneliness

I'm hoping that they all forget
