about

When I presented Sean the first draft of our upcoming album's track list, he quipped that it lacked a title track, so I wrote him this James-Bond film theme pastiche, which I'm proud of; and now it's the title track of our upcoming album. I thought "Live Slow. Die Whenever," which we'd chosen as our title prior to the song's genesis, sounded like a James-Bond film title. You know?

It's about sloths.

We love you guys.

-Shael

lyrics

Your mission
Should you choose to accept it
Live slow
Die whenever

Slow
got to take life slow
you could watch moss grow on me
head to toe on me
at the rate at which I go

Gas
Moss produces gas
No, I don't expect you to talk,
But I do expect your last.

Die whenever
Take baths
Die whenever
nap long
Die whenever
let's all
Die whenever
(re)main calm

If you get the feeling
you can hang from the ceiling
on a toenail teather

It would be my pleasure

Die whenever
Call Chad
Die whenever
Eat Bread
Die whenever
Dead meme's
Die whenever
Undead

Pull the lever
Be-gin the leasure
Your heartbeat's steady
and your breath is measured

Go to a party
Eat a tray of Havarti, then
solo dolo
party never

Only professor sloth
knows when the gas wears off
Step a little bit closer
arboreal pilosa
three-toed mammal
(yeah)
Cheesing these gaspers off
(come on)
turning them into sloths

Don't feel you live too slow
Life on the line? Baby just don't go
One hundred million miles in a minute won't last
End up out on your ass, Enzo and Cass
Started to invest but the whole thing burst
Maybe take a leap but I won't go first
Chilling with the missus and I put in work
and I Gotta lotta time, maybe that's my quirk
Getting so meta song wrote itself
And I Tried to get a word in but it didn't need help
Waving hands in the air like their made outta felt
Gave itself a Grammy, 5 stars on Yelp
It's madness, I'm a casualty
Of these self-inflicted tragedies
Said what I mean and I meant it when I said it
For now we gotta run it cause they'll be here in a minute
But it's ok
It's alright
It'll be better tomorrow, yeah
So For now
We live slow
Die whenever you're feeling it

Die whenever
(A)wait death
Die whenever
(Bey)ond Stars
Die whenever
Buy a truck!
Die whenever
Fight cars!

Sleep in the daytime
come out April and May time
in a comfy sweater

It would be my pleasure

Die whenever
Weigh that
Die whenever
Let go
Die whenever
Draw blanks
Die whenever
Pretzel

Pull the lever
Begin the leasure
Your heartbeat's steady
and your breath is measured

Go to a party
Eat a tray of Havarti, then
solo dolo
party never

I'm one handsome grandson
