about

Have you met The Grammar Club's heavy? Our Titan? The Original Big Man? Fear not, dear listener, for he is as sweet as he is sizable. Let his words, like dulcet thunder, echo in your ears, and know him better.
This one started with an instrumental by Tanner, which was scooped up by Ty, who elaborated on Tanner's composition and instrumentation. Then--my goodness!--did Beefy ever do their work justice with what he recorded over top! I'll say no more. You will have to hear for yourself.

Despite its grandiosity, this track has humble beginnings, originating with a set of loops tanner4105 had created during work on Too Big to Fail Part 1, but never used, and, instead, tossed into our shared cloud drive, in a folder he titled "100_bpm_hiphop_high_synth." Beefy took those loops, threw them in his DAW, recorded an inspired vocal line, and sent us all back the demo, which we loved. Ty, then, re-arranged the song from Beefy and Tanner's multitrack files, adding lush electric piano and 90's R&B guitar. The song sat in that state for weeks, until, at the eleventh hour, Sean snuck in with a few extra guitar lines, which Tanner tucked nicely into the hook and buildup thereto.

lyrics

I'm that collectable that you couldn’t find
Funniest 7 seconds on the last day of Vine
Corporation finally hit with a reasonable fine
More than sublime, I'm a one of a kind. I helped
build a genre with the artists who were isolated
Kept at it when top acts dissociated
Masses fascinated. I tried to elevate it
Gotta keep these nerdcore kids liberated
Now I'm decorated, seen as a vet
Even rappers who don't like me often show me respect
When ya do it like I done it these the perks that ya get
And when you've been forever awesome baby what you expect?

What you ain't heard? I'm in the hall of fame
Others study but I am the game
Never had an equal, so regal
Marvel how the people always asking for a sequel

I'm like missing every Game of Thrones spoiler
Dealing with religion getting out it feeling holier
Not forgetting everything that your wife said
Your personal details not posted on the deep web
Still I see red, hulk up like a meathead
When they ask me if I didn't realize nerdcore is dead
Wanna bury before we get the obituary
I could rap the kama sutra but you're only wanting missionary
So be it, have at it, try to delete it
Got a bunch of kids like me who are used to being defeated
Cried, sweat, and I'm bleeded, hold victory but ya cheated
When a beat and microphone are the only things I ever needed
Hold back I rap in full contact
Sit back, relax for deep impact
I'm jacked to max like fake sex acts
My spot on top, ya can't see that

What you ain't heard? I'm in the hall of fame
Others study but I am the game
Never had an equal, so regal
Marvel how the people always asking for a sequel

Man I am the rarest damn candy
Gotta get your levels up if ya wanna have at me
I'm a beast wrapped around an artist
At the very least, got a craving for my latest release
Never deceased please believe that I'm immortal
All the magic I inspire just another form of normal
Moving on from being humble now the legend is here
See him steal the spotlight the audience and your beer
Going clear, let's delete and try a reset
Start here at the same line and see how far we both get
Interesting prospect, Beefy going full wreck
While you're stranded at the starting line with water up your neck
No sweat, nothing bringing me down
Posted up in Canton then I'm flying up to Cooperstown
I'm that first pick S-class god level tier
Fakers fall in fear now that the legend is here

What you ain't heard? I'm in the hall of fame
Others study but I am the game
Never had an equal, so regal
Marvel how the people always asking for a sequel
